How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions needed will vary depending on the nature and severity of your injury. In most cases i recommend 6 sessions initially and continue session by session, if there is improvement. Some conditions may require muscle strengthening which will need treatment over 3 to 6 months; in such cases block bookings are offered. You may be asked to attend twice a week for the first two weeks for better outcomes then once a week thereafter.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, we accept most major insurance plans. Bupa, Axa, Aviva, Simply Health, Vitality, Healix amongst others. You will need to forwward your membership number and authorisation code. The insurance company is billed directly. Depending on the amount of excess on your policy, if it is more than the value of your authorised treatment,  you will be required to pay the excess amount directly to the clinic in advance. Insurers only pay out bills once the value of treatment exceeds value of excess.

As an example, if your excess on the policy is £150, total cost of treatment is initial Assessment £45, x4 follow up appointments = £185. Your insurer will only pay the clinic £35; therefore you will need to pay £150 directly in advance.

Can I attend treatment if age less than 18

You'll need a parent or guardian to attend with you & be present during treatment if less than 18 years of age. No exception.

Can I bring a Chaperone?

Feel free to bring another person to attend for moral support.

Do I need an appointment?

Yes you'll need to call the clinic number to schedule an appointment; usually can offer same day & evening appointments.

Can you request X Ray or MRI Scan

Yes i can refer for further investigations. However initially my approach is to treat the problem; if after 3 to 4 sessions there is no change in symptoms I request private investigations such as x-ray, ultrasound or mri scan. The radiology company is based in Heaviley, Stockport SK5. They offer appointments within a few days after referral and aim to send reports back within 48 hours.

Depending on the findings, if deemed beneficial you maybe referred / recommended to see a consultant orthopaedic surgeon.
